Mask-We
What is it?
The MASK-WE Project is a creative arts training program aimed at skills acquisition (language and art), providing business entrepreneurial strategies, and teaching the history of Afro-Latin women’s agency.
The MASK-WE Project is a women-centered business model that challenges stereotypes and redefines the parameters of gender equality among the Igbo peoples of Nigeria.
Mexico + Nigeria
The collaboration between Mexico and Nigeria in this project is a testament to the power of art to transcend borders and unite cultures. The fusion of Mexican alebrije painting techniques with traditional Nigerian mask-making not only creates stunning visual pieces but also symbolizes the shared experiences and struggles of women across the globe. Through this artistic exchange, the project fosters cross-cultural understanding and celebrates the strength and resilience of women in both Mexico and Nigeria.
